In the morning we took bus V13 from La Rambla to Plaza Kennedy and then walked up to the Tibidabo Funicular. It's a nice walk and another option is Bus 196 which also goes to the Funicular.
The Funicular costs €7.70 for a round trip to the top of the mountain. At the top there are restaurants, the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus church, the old amusement park, and fantastic views of Barcelona, Park Collserola, and the towns around Barcelona.
For those who want to go even higher, the church charges €3.50 to take the elevator to the roof balcony where there are steps up to the feet of the big Jesus.
After taking in the best views in Barcelona we had to take the bus back down because the Funicular was broken and they were working on it. The little bus is usually packed and it goes down to the Vallvidrera-Superior stop near a different funicular that is part of the train system. That funicular goes down to Vallvidrera Inferior with connections to the S1 and S2 trains to Plaza Cataluña and other stops. The Funicular and S trains aren't part of the Barcelona Metro but they accept the metro tickets such as the T10 and T30.
In the evening we went to a movie at Yelmo Cines Icaria. The Yelmo theaters have movies in their original languages with Spanish subtitles. Yemo Icaria is located at Map Location: 41.391234, 2.197354 .
